How are the game and updates downloaded?

On Windows and Android, the installation package is small and models and textures download at first launch. The Linux archive contains the complete game. Keep the installation and cache: later updates download code separately and only fetch missing model packs. Interrupted model downloads resume where they stopped, and files are verified before use. The first update from a much older version may require the compatibility pack.

How to install

Windows

  1. Despachetează arhiva într-un folder (nu porni jocul direct din arhivă).
  2. Run RuneNeon.exe. If Windows shows a warning, click “More info” → “Run anyway”.
  3. Let the first resource download finish. If the connection drops, click Retry.
  4. Create your account in the game or on the site and sign in.

Linux

  1. Despachetează: tar -xzf rune-and-neon-linux.tar.gz
  2. În folderul RuneNeon rulează ./install.sh: jocul apare în meniul de aplicații, cu iconiță. Sau pornește direct ./RuneNeon.x86_64.

Android

  1. Download the APK on your phone and open it. Allow installing from this source when asked.
  2. Open the game and let the first download finish, preferably over Wi-Fi. Keep at least 4 GB free before installing.
  3. If the connection drops, tap Retry. Already verified packs are kept.
