Runes

Weapon runes

An ancient rune and a neon chip on the same weapon form a hybrid. The catalog now includes 24 combinations, with Moon and Sun.

Your first weapon engraving

From level 2, Aurel engraves every blank weapon for free. The introductory story is optional.

Spark

Spark

+1 damage on a normal hit, at most once every 3 seconds.

Glimmer

Glimmer

+1 health on a normal hit, at most once every 3 seconds.

Starter engravings trigger against monsters and do not form hybrids. Advanced runes can replace them.

How it works
01

Collect runes and chips

Ancient runes drop in the Crypt, in the Tower and from beasts above level 20. Chips drop in Cybercity, from neon rifts and from meteors.

02

Visit the engraver

Aurel the Engraver in the village, or Kira the Netrunner in Cybercity. Your faction pays 20% less at its own engraver.

03

Rune from +5, chip from +9

Each on its own changes your basic attack. Engraving never fails.

04

Merge them into a hybrid

The rune gives the element, the chip the behaviour. Together they transform an attack skill you choose.
